These tons of rejection letters can sometimes make you feel like that you are not good enough. You are on the very urge to give it all up, but something within you stops you. Times of India has launched the second season of Write India Campaign Season 2 after the phenomenal success of Season 1. Write India Campaign is a nationwide talent hunt for unnoticed booming writers in the country. This campaign is one of a kind opportunity for the writers to become noticed and come into limelight. The panel for the season 2 includes world-famous authors like Ruskin Bond and Jeffrey Archer and other well-known authors such as Sudha Murty, Twinkle Khanna, Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni, Anand Neelakantan, Shobhaa De, Manu Joseph, Namita Gokhale and Nikita Singh.
The entire campaign is to last for 10 months until, 30 April 2018. Each month is dedicated to one of the celebrity authors on the panel. The author of the month shares a passage for the budding authors to build their story around. Write India Team will curate all the submissions at the end of each month and Author of the Month will select the top winners. The campaign began in July with Anand Neelakantan, author of the famous Bahubali trilogy which was followed by Ruskin Bond for the month of August. Well, if you missed out on them no need to have a heavy heart. For guess what, the Author of the Month for September is none other than Jeffrey Archer, so grab a pen and paper and start writing away. Also, if having your stories by some of the greatest authors around isn’t enough, the winning stories will all be compiled and published in a book by Times of India. And now, the icing on the cake, at the end of the year, TOI will organize a workshop for the winners where they will be mentored by the celebrity authors.
The Season 1 of Write India Campaign, discovered many great writers from across the country and saw 36 winning stories were published in the form of a book in November last year. There were 1.5 lakh registrations and 25,000 short stories received in a span of 11 Month for the Season 1.
